After 15 years directing and performing with her group Nós de Chita and practicing Capoeira in a weekly base, and teaching Portuguese language using authentic material, Claudia Lyra continues her performing career as a solo artist as well as with her new Project called DO RE TREE sharing stages with musician and music educator Thiago Winterstein.

She presents an interactive performance appropriate for all ages, starting with a movement and music warm up to draw in the audience. The show length can vary between 30min to 1 hour, including traditional songs, movement, storytelling, percussion, and body music. The songs and storytelling are based on Brazilian oral traditions relating to aspects such as animals, nature, folktales and children's music. The percussion pieces will utilize traditional Brazilian instruments such as the berimbau and caxixi, which are handmade out of natural materials such as wood, gourds, and animal skins. The show ends with an interactive body music piece which gives the audience a chance to play along with us to a Brazilian Rhythm called Baião. These shows always receive positive feedback from parents and educators and I would be honored to share it with your students or audience.
