We are having fun with Brazilian Culture every other Saturday morning since the month of August 2024.
We have been playing music, games, singing and learning Portuguese.
We are 2 teachers holding Master's degree in Language Education and Music plus we have been performing Brazilian Music for Kids in LA and in San Diego since 2007 with groups Nós de Chita, Maracatu Jangada and DO RE TREE

~ BRaPA offers Brazilian Culture, music and Capoeira lessons at different elementary schools in San Diego in partnership with non-profit organizations.

2017 main events/accomplishments / education
1) Moving to Brazil - June , July and August of 2017 to teach Portuguese to Harvard Students in an Portuguese Language Immersion program in Recife - Brazil
2) Collaborating with California County Superintendents Educational Services Association (CCSESA) Arts Initiative. Creating lesson plans available at their website for music teachers between grades 3 and 5 to explore.
3) Taught a workshop at SDGE San Diego to Science Teachers and Environmentalists for the Science Alliance Meeting on how to engage students and science in the learning process.
4) Claudia Lyra graduated with a Masters degree at SDSU in Dual Language Education Bilingual : Arts and Literature Program thesis. Conferences, presentations and lectures in Language and Arts education
5) Assembly programs with Nós de Chita at several elementary schools / Arts Integration Program at Coronado Middle School / Arts and Science Programs with Climate Change Alliance

May 29th - Ending the schools year with lot's of Brazilian Music , Dance lessons at different Elementary Schools. Brazil Cultural Center is part of the residency and Assembly program at Young Audiences of San Diego as well as Center for the World Music. It has certified teaching artist who since 2007 take Brazilian culture to arts programs at schools in San Diego.
